Reach, a local business lifestyle magazine, brought together and varied and sundry mixture of entrepreneurs to mingle, chat, and discuss the Next Big Thing.
Put together by Reach founder Dammy Og, the event's goal was to bring together entrepreneurs that had been featured in the magazine in the past, together with entrepreneurs Reach hopes to feature in the future. With speakers such as Ryan Holmes of Hootsuite, Michael Tao of askmeoutnow.com, Alisha Mann of Alisha Mann Ventures, and Devon Brookes of Blo, the event had no shortage of local star power.

It was another afternoon of success at the 2010 BCBusiness Top 100 Companies in B.C. luncheon, held at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. The gala accompanies the largest issue of the year for BCBusiness – this year a Canadian-record 316 pages.
This year, after delicious edibles, guests were treated to a rousing, physically vigorous speech from the keynote, Giovanni Livera.

The small, the bold and the successful were acknowledged and congratulated at the sold-out Successful You Small Business Awards Ceremony and Networking Event. The event was hosted by Small Business BC and the Insurance Bureau of Canada, and honoured four finalists at Birks’ Flagship store in Downtown Vancouver.

Event: Project Empty Bowl presented by Coast Capital Savings

Since its inception Project Empty Bowl has fed thousands of individuals with AIDS locally, and tens of thousands globally. At the event, distinguished guests receive a handmade bowl that they use throughout the evening. They are asked to keep their bowls as a gift and a reminder of all the empty bowls that still need filling. Project Empty Bowl has become a signature annual fundraising event for A Loving Spoonful. The event raises funds so that A Loving Spoonful can continue delivering free meals and nutritional counselling and education to men, women and children fighting HIV/AIDS worldwide.
