Kin's Farm Market partners Kin Hun Leung, brother Kin Wah Leung and Kin Wah's wife Queenie Chu are winners of the BCBusiness 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year award in the business-to-consumer products and services category.

As Peter Mitham writes in his October 2009 profile, the business began in 1983 when the Leung brothers' father Chie Yau Leung opened a 2 1/2-metre-long produce stall at Vancouver's Granville Island Public Market. The stall grossed less than $200 on its first day, but the Leungs developed a following and just four years later opened a store in Richmond's Blundell Centre. Today, there are 25 B.C. stores and one in Ontario operating under the Kin's Farm Market banner, with plans to expand in both provinces.
