What’s your top goal for 2010?
To see a major breakthrough on the adoption of natural gas as a vehicular fuel in North America.

In your world, what needs to happen to make the year a success?

Our regulator needs to render a decision that will allow our investors to earn returns comparable to our U.S. peers.

If you could wave a magic wand, what would appear – or disappear – on Jan. 1?

A firm commitment to eliminate deficit spending by governments at every level within four years. Winning gold in men’s and women’s hockey – and in particular, young Helen Upperton winning gold in Canadian women’s bobsled. I worked with her father for a number of years and I follow her closely.

What keeps you up at night?

The degree of balkanization in energy and environmental policies of various governments, especially here in B.C.
