What’s your top goal for 2010?
My personal goal is to help the Vancouver Art Gallery secure a new site, which will be double the size of the existing courthouse building. Vancouver has become an important art centre on the Pacific Rim.

If you could wave a magic wand, what would appear – or disappear – on Jan. 1?

Homelessness on the streets of Vancouver. I believe everyone deserves a warm and secure place in which to live.

How will the Olympics impact your organization now and in the future?
Doubtless some of the people who will be visiting us from around the world will want to move to our beautiful city, and that’s always positive for a residential development company like ours.

Who or what inspires you?
Jimmy Pattison, Joe Segal and the artist Gordon Smith because they are all older than me but do not include the word “retirement” in their vocabularies.
