No lint. And contrary to the opinion expressed in the Shawshank Redemption, people most certainly do notice footwear that is out-of-place.

I agree with the clean

I agree with the clean teeth. I find it very unprofessional if teeth look obviously yellow, plaque-covered and un-brushed; to me it shows carelessness and lack of responsible behavior. I am not talking food here, but good dental hygiene. Clothing should be neat, ironed, and free of stains. Free of stains is huge, especially obvious ones. The little ones that no can see, well, who cares? But the obvious ones? No way. Clean hands and fingernails I also agree with. Dirty hands and nails are a major turn-off. I don't care what your hands look like, as long as they are clean. If ladies wear makeup, tasteful and minimal looks most professional to me, same with jewelery and accessories. In a business setting, tasteful is best. I recommend bringing a brush or comb with you for last minute fix-ups. Be clean, polite, and professional. Embody these in look and dress. That is my opinion.
