“Co-workers are friendly and are like family members. The company recognizes that its success is due to high standards of employees”

Despite its rapid growth, Benefits by Design has maintained the feel of a close-knit family. When employees go on vacation, for example, they’ll often grab Benny the Bee, the company’s plush toy mascot, and photograph it in locations around the world (see above). And for many at this third-party administrator of employee benefits programs, flexibility is paramount. Work hours are often rearranged around a school concert or to accommodate a toddler’s gradual entry to preschool. And growth of about 50 per cent over the past two years means lots of opportunity for advancement within the company.
