The female of the species loves flowers. And so, by a Herculean leap of male logic, flowers and floral patterns have traditionally been reserved for the fairer sex. Or at least they were until recently, when more enlightened ideas of masculinity began to bud. As the flowers promised by last month’s showers start to bloom, the dapper gentleman takes this opportunity to mirror nature’s rebirth in his everyday wardrobe using bright, cheerful – but masculine – floral accents. Meanwhile, women, who already enjoy the sartorial variety of an English garden, can turn to more fashion-forward accessory choices: adding whimsical jewelry for a playful take on the season.
