Name? Adam
Position? Clinical researcher in oncology.
Wearing? My bag is from Spain and I'm not sure about the rest.
Which piece has the best story? Well, my bag I got in Spain and the strap just broke as I was catching the SkyTrain here.
What do your colleagues wear, and how do you compare? All of my co-workers say I'm very overdressed.
Anything to add? Vancouver is very laissez faire, fashion-wise. It's quite different in Germany, where I'm from.

Name? Anselmi. It's Italian.
Position and company? I'm the co-owner of the Waldorf, which, by the way, is reopening soon as a boutique hotel.
Wearing? My bag is Louis Vuitton, my Zig Zag shoes are from Exhibit at Main and 11th, my belt is Ferragamo, and my shirt was custom tailored in Asia.
Which piece has the best story? My shirt. My friends and I order them from a custom tailor in Bangkok, and it's the same place George Bush orders his.
What do your colleagues wear, and how do you compare? We are extremely stylish. I think the reason is that we work in arts and culture.
Anything to add? Check out the Waldorf.

Name? Bryan
Position and company? Administrator at the Law Society of BC.
Wearing? My shoes are from Aldo, my shirt is cashmere from H&M Japan, my pants are from Zara, and my tie is Helmut Lang.
Which piece has the best story? My watch is a Rolex and was given to me from my grandfather. He got it when he was about my age, and it means a lot to me.
What do your colleagues wear, and how do you compare? My place of work is casual and you can sometimes see people in wife-beaters and stuff. I dress better than most.
Anything to add? Vancouver is an eclectic city when it comes to style, and very casual. Probably because it is such a melting pot of culture. A lot of what I try to emulate, style-wise, comes from Japan. There, people care a lot. People here do, as well, but there is a lot more freedom.

Name? Bryan
Position and company? I'm the "everything man" at The Foundation.
Wearing? My shirt is Value Village, my socks are "antihero" (and my buddy Will's), my shoes are "antisocial," and these are some old-school Lee jeans
Which piece has the best story? Will's socks. They just sort of showed up one day and I took them from him. They say "anti" on one and "hero" on the other and these orange things are probably the most expensive thing I'm wearing.
What do your colleagues wear, and how do you compare? It's a stylish place! I'd say I'm on the antisocial side, compared to my buds.
Anything to add? I like it when people don't try to be stylish and instead wear what they want. Quick and easy is my approach and I like that – I don't like it when people try too hard.

Which piece has the best story? This dress, for sure. I was renting a car in Northern Italy and bought this in San Gimignano.
What do your colleagues wear, and how do you compare? Everyone at my work dresses "classy corporate." There are no jeans allowed. I am fairly average.
Anything to add? My friends would say I am contemporary, classic, sometimes a bit funky with my style. I think Vancouver is definitely improving it’s overall style and one designer I recommend it is Jacqueline Conoir. She’s awesome!

Name? Julian
Position? Medical English teacher.
Wearing? My shirt and tie are from Japan.
Which piece has the best story? There was this crazy place in Osaka where I got the shirt and tie. It was like a Walmart of cheap and awesome clothes.
What do your colleagues wear, and how do you compare? There's a Turkish women where I work who is totally styling. She has crazy purple hair and used to be a talk show host in Turkey before coming here. She's awesome.
Anything you’d like to add? Vancouver is lacking in the care factor. Main Street is a hip, stylish place, though. But think about Montreal – that place is amazing. Vancouver, on the other hand, is healthier. So maybe you substitute the one for the other.

Anything you’d like to add? Vancouver should take a more European, less American approach to style. The U.S. has a baggy, boxy feel to it, where European fashion is more cut. Definitely European.
